You may know Joe Russo from the very popular YouTube channel “We’re The Russos”, but did you know that Joe is also a successful author? He published the first book, Take Risks: One Couple’s Journey to Quit Their Jobs and Hit The Open Road, last year. This year, Joe has the second book of the series coming out. He named this book, Tales From the Open Road: The Adventures and Misadventures of RV Living. In both books, Joe shares the good and the bad of the journey to change their lives.

Joe Russo sits with us to chat about why he wrote the first book, the challenges for a first-time author, and what helped him get in gear and publish it. We chat about the process of the second book, what he learned from writing the first one and applied it to the second, marketing strategies, tips for first-time and seasoned writers, and how to build an audience before having a finished book for sale. Joe also talks about the early years of selling it all and moving into an RV. We also learn how Kait and he started their YouTube channel.

Awesome interview Kenny! This is my first time listening to your Podcast, and im glad I did! As you know, I met Joe & Kait last year here in Nyc, and they are the “real deal” – wonderful personalities, very humble, very intelligent, and dedicated to NOT subscribing to the formula society has designed for us to follow! The questions you asked Joe were very much on point! I’ve read his book “Taking Risks” twice, and I loved it!
