In this interview, we sit down with Mary Swanson, a co-founder of Lava Linens. It is a family-run business that makes flax and hemp towels. Lava Linens – The Beginning

When we asked how the company started, Mary told us that it all began when she and her sister went on a backpacking trip and found that their current towels weren’t cutting it. They were heavy, took forever to dry, and didn’t pack well. So, they contacted their mom, who has a background in textiles, to discuss creating a towel for their own personal use. After one trip with this new towel, they knew it would be perfect for anyone who loves spending time in nature. And so far, it seems like they’re succeeding!

Of course, their target market is people who love spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, or simply relaxing on the beach. However, their towels are versatile enough to be used by anyone – even if you don’t consider yourself an adventurer!
