A solar-powered electric camper van has completed a 1,242-mile journey
Created by 22 students, this solar-powered electric drivetrain RV has everything two people need to live on the go, including a bathroom, shower, sink, toilet, sofa, kitchen area, and a double bed. During the trip, the team drove about 186 miles per day at speeds of up to 75 miles per hour. Will this be the future of RVing?
The First Production RV Built Over 100 Years Ago
Now that we have seen what the future of RVing could be, let’s talk about where it all began. The RV industry may be older than you think. In 1910, the Pierce Arrow Touring Landau was showcased as the first production RV. Even though it was built over 100 years ago, the Piece-Arrow conversion utilized many RV features that we use today in our modern RVs.
