Clean water is so important to all of us. One way we can improve the quality of the water coming into our RV is by using an RV water filter. Keith Bernard President of Applica water and the CLEAR2O brand is on the podcast to talk about water filtration and his products. Keith has a unique story about his involvement with the company, he started as an employee at Applica and then later purchased it.
The most important thing we learned from talking to Keith is not all RV water filters are made the same. A CLEAR2O filter proprietary solid carbon block filters contaminants down to one micron. That’s 70 times smaller than a human hair! Other RV filters may only filter to 100 microns. One Micron filtration level reduces harmful contaminants, bad taste, sulfur odor and chlorine in our drinking water.

Kenny was so impressed with what Keith had to say he went out and bought a CLEAR2O filter to try it for himself. His wife, Sabrina, said that she could tell a difference in the taste of the water right away. She said it removed the metallic taste from the water, making the water more enjoyable to drink.
Keith also discusses a new filter that is hitting the market in June called the DirtGUARD Filter. The new DirtGUARD transforms any inline RV water filter into a two-stage filtration system which will help prevent sediment build up in your inline filter, this will optimize your carbon filter performance. Sediment clogs our filters and, if the filter becomes too clogged, water can’t properly pass through it and the filter is no longer able to do its job. DirtGUARD will block sediment at the 20-micron level, prolonging the life of your inline filter so you can get the cleanest water possible and the most use out of your filter.
